Test Chamber Systems
The determination of formaldehyde and VOC emissions from wood-based materials, construction products and furniture is a core competence of the EPH for many years.
As accredited test body for emission testing, the EPH provides not only professional know-how but also technical equipment in terms of emission test chambers and gas analysis systems.
These test systems are especially characterised by an easy operability and a layout adapted perfectly to customer`s needs as well as by an attractive price. Among others, the systems are established in the wood-based materials, binder- and furniture industry and at testing institutes. Emission testings can be conducted according to several test procedures.
We are pleased to support you in course of R&D or product surveillance, to validate your system by appropriate comparison tests and to train your laboratory staff.
Emission Test Chambers
System PK-ES (stainless steel)
- Interior volume 100 l/225 l/1,0 m³
- Electrically polished interior
- Digital display and recording of test parameters (temperature and rel. air moisture, flow velocity, volume flow)
- Automated control of the test parameters according to set value specification via PLC touch panel
- Data output as CSV file for easy further processing e.g. Microsoft Excel®
- Possibility of regulation/tracking of the testing process via the customer's internal intranet/web browser
System PK-GS (glass)
- Interior volume 100 l and 225 l
- Digital display and recording of test parameters temperature and rel. air moisture

Gas Analysis Apparatus
Derived test procedure for the determination of formaldehyde emission of wood-based materials according to DIN EN ISO 12460-3 – gas analysis procedure (formerly DIN EN 717-2)
System GA-4-M.nt (Master)
- More flexible, more modular; installation expandable
- Gas-proof electrically polished double-walled test chamber with an interior volume of (4000 ± 200) ml
- Temperature control of test chamber air regulated up to 60 °C (± 0,5 K)
- Adjustable air volume flow of (60 ± 3) l/h
- Digital data display of temperature, pressure, moisture and air volume flow; optional data recording and –output as CSV file according to customer needs
- Valve switching manually or automatically by magnetic valves according to customer requirements
- 5 pairs of gas wash bottles plus accessories for the absorption of formaldehyde into aqueous solution released by the tested samples
System GA-ES 120 (stainless steel)
- Setup with one or two test chamber units
